First thing I would check is the flashhook timer.

If that checks ok, put your buttset on the line and see what's really going
on. Occasionally (I had one today) flashhook is disabled at the CO, causing
any flashhook to drop the previous call.

Subject: KX-T: Call waiting drop on KXTA 624

| Ladies and Gentlemen,
|
| As usual your help is greatly appreciated. I was called today by a
| customer who had a 624 installed by another company who I guess drop the
| ball. Anyway there problem is when they are on a line, (it's a home) if
| they recieve call waiting it disconnects the call. The original party
| they were talking two gets disconnected like a hang up. they hear dial
| tone. I've just had a conversation with the woman on the phone, and she
| says Verizon says the lines are fine.
|
| Any ideas?
