About the problem with TA308.
I'm going to make a CallerID software and my KX-TA308 doen't
show the callerid (it doen't have the callerid card).
The problem is that IF I insert a callerid card I will get the callerid
info AFTER the call and this is useless.
Personaly I preffer to get callerid info from the serial port
but panasonic doesn't have such a function.
So the only solution is to get the info from the line with a modem BUT I
checked and if I do not have a card the pbx is cutting the callerid
info.
My question is how can I make my software read callerid date (at
ring time) on KX-TA308 with or without the callerid card.
For those interested I'm from Romania where we have callerid
data.
PS. My company does already make a call accounting software that works
with over 20 pbx types and now we are going to make a callerid software.

What country are you in?
In the US, the caller ID cards will only show caller id on the Panasonic
proprietary phones. Your modem will need to be connected directly to the
phone line (not to an
extension) in order to receive the caller id signal.
