Thank you very much for the prompt replies and the neat workaround. However, as it turns out there is an easier way. My problem was not with the TVS50 (Dead Wrong in Public Again (tm)) but rather that the dash 4 and dash 5 816's require field 36 in program 990, System Additional Information, to be set to 0 (enable) to enable follow on ID on IRNA transfers. I found this after I posted by spending a few hours looking through old KXT digests using the web search and found a posting by Randy Dell in the October 2000 archive. By the way, I'd love to know where to find the instructions from Panasonic to convert the TVS-50 into a answering machine with a single mailbox.
