Hello All,

I have about two dozen series 7000 Hybrid phones (7020, 7030, 7130) that
seem to have the same problem. They have gone dead.

When I connect them up to a PLC port (on a KX-T300), they are all totally
dead. No lights, no display, nothing, just like it was never plugged in.

However, when I connect up to a HLC port, I get a dial tone in the
handset and can use the keypad to dial numbers. But there is no display,
no lights, no ringer. It just acts like a single line phone (I assume
this might be a power failure feature on these phones...).

Has anyone out there worked much with these phones to know what causes
them to fail? I have the service manuals for them, and every chip on the
board seems to be getting power. My guess is the CPU chip on the phones
has bit the dust, but I can't say for sure. Can anyone give me some
insight?

Thanks
Tim
