Public bug reported: In Telegram 5.12.4, icons were renamed (see the release notes here: https://github.com/telegramdesktop/tdesktop/releases/tag/v5.12.4). This causes the KDE Breeze and Breeze-Dark icon themes no longer find the customized Telegram icons and always display the default Telegram app icon in the system tray instead of the specialized ones (e.g. when there are no unread messages, when there are unread messages and when there are urgent notifications). This means that users are not notified when new messages are received, which severely impacts usability.
The problem was reported in Telegram: https://github.com/telegramdesktop/tdesktop/issues/29102 and in KDE: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=502049 The fix was implemented in KDE by adding icon symlinks with the new names. This fix needs to be backported in Kubuntu packages.
