Public bug reported:

In the ‘System Settings’ applet, I select the ‘Sound’ group, then
‘Display & Monitor’ and return to the ‘Sound’ group. - this causes the
applet to temporarily freeze and finally terminate. No error message
appears.

I see that I think selecting any group of options after selecting the
‘Sound’ group and returning to ‘Sound’ closes the applet.
