Jeff Scott did some modifications to his tail feathers to improve his KR, here is the link; http://jeffsplanes.com/KR/tail.html I have given plenty of rides. My thought is that you just need to train and practice in order not to chase the PIOs. Just hold the stick steady and ride out the bumps. A little bit of practice and you’ll be fine. Years ago I recall a wider horizontal stab did the trick for someone.
