The dust has settled on another Gathering. For me, this year's Gathering was # 33 or the last 34 and I enjoy spending time with all the KR friends I've made over the years. Thanks to Zach Martine, the new owner of211LF, for getting 211LF to the Gathering as this year's attendance at the Gathering was its #18 of the last 20 since it's first flight in December of 2003. The years keep flying by.
I'm usually too busy at the Gathering to keep track of all the details but I believe we had a total of 7 KR's attend over the three days (two official days), two forum type events, one event on the ramp with the owners giving an overview of their KR, and the Saturday night banquet with 25 to 30 in attendance. Thanks to PLP Battery of Murphysboro, Illinois, everyone that attend the banquet won or received a door prize including Dakota, the waitress for the evening.
With no invitations for a location for next years Gathering those in attendance voted to return to Mt.Vernon. To quote a line from the movie Moses, "so let it be written, so let it be done".
I'm sure someone will post some photos of the KR's at this years Gathering once they get home and settled in.
Thanks to all that were able to attend and share their KR's , knowledge, and experience that makes the event a success year after year.
