As a 30 year member of the KR community and having attended every KR Gathering but one since 1990,  I have never seen any two KR's ever built "exactly" the same.  There are several features that make me believe the two photos are of the same KR.  First, the cowl.  The teardrop shaped "bubbles" over the cylinders combined with the vertical rectangular openings just forward of the firewall.  Second, the shape of the small porthole windows just aft of the canopy, and third the large strake on the vertical stabilizer.  The odds of any two KR's sharing these exact same features which are not a part of the plans are quite high.  The one photo is too dark to determine the type of landing gear but the three I mentioned are enough to convince me the photos are of the same airplane.  Given the fact that both photos show these three items and the N number is the same on both photos the odds of it being two different aircraft are pronominal.

Just my opinion.
