Steve would be happy to help you if he can. He's simply overworked and
stressed. He's one of the long-time KR people from the early days and
lived in Corona (and built several planes there) for many, many years
until the rains flooded his hangar about ten years (or more) ago and
forced him to move to Chino.
No need to involve yourself in group spats. Steve hasn't helped with
this situation it's true with his abrupt responses to some people. He's
simply taken on more than most of us could handle. He's achieved his FAA
Repair Station certificate and has been swamped by work. If he had any
contact with your Dad's KR or your Dad himself, he'll be happy to help if
he can.
