> "Could one of these units be used with $166 servo
units available from Aircraft Spruce as an autopilot?"
Reading the installation data on their website, they do mention the option of
users buying their own servos.  They also mention customers buying or making
their own trim tabs.  The installation and user manual is very impressive for
the complexity (mainly wiring . . . I'm an idiot re electricity).  If it all
works as they say, this apparently simple unit can fly glideslope, execute
stored routes, intercept radials, climb and descend to preselected altitudes,
and everything else a full blown autopilot can do.
