I'm amazed that the aileron in flutter created enough force to fail both spars and yet stay attached to the wing mounted to 1/4" spruce with probably #8 or #10 hardware.  I once was watching some high power / high speed  RC aircraft flying and as one turned base to final for a high speed pass it made a wheerrrrrr sound for about 1 or 2 seconds and then fluttered to earth in at least a dozen pieces.  Flutter can be very destructive.  That's what got the P51 at Reno.  Elevator trim tab as I recall.
