The final accident report for the accident claiming an iconic KR-2
in South Africa and well known Pilot has been released.

I'm amazed that the aileron in flutter created enough force to fail both
spars and yet stay attached to the wing mounted to 1/4" spruce with
probably #8 or #10 hardware. I once was watching some high power / high
speed RC aircraft flying and as one turned base to final for a high
speed pass it made a wheerrrrrr sound for about 1 or 2 seconds and then
fluttered to earth in at least a dozen pieces. Flutter can be very
destructive. That's what got the P51 at Reno. Elevator trim tab as I
recall.
