I would like to see a better way to make terminals. I solder mine.

A crimp with a quality tool, an adequate pull test, and limit the wire
movement should be sufficient. Wire movement can cause a break in the
wire right at the terminal. We get in many battery chargers that turn
on with no output. The first thing I do is to do a "weight lifters"
pull test on the battery clip. Nine times out of ten the clip pulls
off. The problem I've found with solder connections is if wire movement
is no controlled, the wire is brittle and breaks at the connector. A
good crimp and limit movement will eliminate "right sized" wire failures.
