Was it N4DD that crashed at Mount Vernon?

I had flown 40 miles south to my home airport to pick up the last of the
shirt / hat order and on the return trip I called Mt.Vernon traffic and
Chris said the runway was closed for an incident. When I got close and
saw it was a blue KR I was concerned it might be Old Blue as it was the
only blue KR that frequented the Gathering. It was and a total loss.
Fortunately the only injuries to the pilot were his feet, serious
enough, but not life threatening. There was enough clear runway open
that I landed without incident. My first ride in a KR was with Dan
Diehl at Rough River, Kentucky in 1990.
