Ok, believe it or not!!! I only had outboard wing tanks (no header tank) in my first KR N886MJ. Corvair engine with an Ellison. I totally lost both fuel pumps due to a broken ground wire. I was at maybe 200 feet because I was buzzing my brother in law’s house. Oh yea, 13 miles from the airport!!! And one mile from the interstate that passes right by the airport. I gave it full throttle and the engine kept running. Yes I did try all secondary options to no avail. RPM was fluctuating around 1500. The Ellison was creating enough suction to keep the engine running. I was maintaining altitude and actually slightly climbing. Straight to the interstate and followed it to the airport. Landed safely. I wouldn’t want to do that again!!!
