Hi Marc

That bearing looks like it a Great Plains force one bearing, the engine may have a force one crank installed.
If so contact Great Plains for a replacement bearing.

The original Hapi engine used standard vw bearing.
The Hub needs to be removed by a press after removing the front bolt.

Hello Netter's
I'm looking for advice for a KR1 enthusiast.
The owner of the Sam Bailey KR-1 has taken the engine down for rebuild after finding
"Chrome oil."  He has been having difficulty rebuilding the HAPI engine. The
shops he has been taking the crank to do not know how to take  the 4th bearing off the
crankshaft.. One shop attempted to heat it up and then take it off that way but it didn't
work. One offered to shave it down using a lathe and then breaking off the last portion
once it's thin ....but no one seems to know where to find a replacement bearing. The
person rebuilding the engine has not been able to find a shop that can magnaflux the
crank with a bearing on. Anyone have experience with HAPI engine rebuilds ?
