Fatal accident... (28/October/2021) - South Africa 🇿🇦 : A private Rand Robinson KR-2, registration ZS-UKU, impacted the terrain under unknown circumstances in Tshwane, South Africa. The sole pilot onboard was fatally injured. Preliminary information says the aircraft suffered an inflight failure of one of the wings.
------------- This popped up on one of my aviation news feeds. This plane has been lovingly restored over the last 10 years. Photos of the restoration can be located by searching for Sakkie Halgreen’s – ZS-UKU restoration project. It was apparently running a Turbocharged 2.4Liter VW engine.
