With this years Gathering included, I will have made 30 of the last 31 Gatherings. I attempted to attend the one missed by taking off from southern Illinois in the KR and heading to California but reversed course in Arkansas to avoid high winds in Oklahoma. Joe Horton, with his trigear KR, oil dripping from his Corvair engine all over is nose wheel pant, continued on and made it to California and back home to Pennsylvania without incident. As for me, no guts, no glory. My KR has attended 16 of the last 17 Gatherings. Some kind of record I'm guessing. See you all in Lees Summit. Close enough to the date to program the GPS for the trip and start checking the weather forecast.
