I always make wheel landings. If / when my tail touches down with
rudder input for a crosswind my feet have such light pressure on the
rudder pedals that the tailwheel goes straight and I get / feel zero
directional changes. I don't fly in "violent" crosswinds so I may have
just been avoiding a problem.
