I am based in Centurion, South Africa which is essentially halfway
between Pretoia and Johannesburg. If you know of a KR-2 owner or another
one being built nearby, that would be great.

Does you government have a database like the FAA in the USA that you can
search to find (aircraft) KR owners? Try contacting any "Experimental
Aircraft Association" chapter in your country to find KR owners. Also,
I seem to recall KR builders / fliers from your country having appeared
in KR Newsletters in the past. You might try a search of those.
Someone on the net will have to point you to where they are available.
Beyond that you might try contacting by e-mail the airports in your part
of the country as part of your search. I seem to recall one or more
KR's in a photo taken at a shopping mall as part of a display. That was
many years ago.
