I know nothing about painting or safety or guns and all that but my KR
was painted with "Nasson" (sp) auto paint, their least expensive paint,
15 years ago and it still looks good except in the areas where it was
abused. I used the water based primer rolled on as an undercoat. It's
never been touched since application like buffing or anything.
