For those of you that may not have heard of this miracle product...
There is a product that come in relatively large toothpaste style tube called
EZ-Turn or alternatively "Fuel Lube" (the same type product).  It can be used
as a lube for fuel selector valves and as a sealer for threaded fittings.  It
is also great when used in a thin coating on fuel and oil type gaskets.  If you
get in a pinch and don't have a new flat gasket on hand and the gasket is
otherwise undamaged, a thin coat of EZ Turn on both sides of the gasket will
likely get you back in business. I once had a gascolator that continued to leak
even after the replacement of the gasket.  An old wise IA suggested a little EZ
Turn and that cured my issue. Ever since, EZ Turn has been my go to product. EZ
Turn does not harden, is quite sticky and a little goes a long way.
