I plan the first flight like I did the Murphy Rebel. No wind, use
runway 20 (8000 feet). Early engine failure I land straight ahead.
Depending on where the engine quits after that I (A) left turn and
land on runway 11 (5000 feet), (B) do a left turn (down wind) and land
runway 29, (C) do a 180 back to runway 02, or (D) with enough
altitude do a pattern back to runway 20. Whichever way it goes it
would have to be a split second decision. This runway layout and
length gives me several options. I'll do my best not to end up in the
cemetery off the end of RW 29. I've never liked the site of that
approach on short final at the fence when landing RW29.
