I want to specifically thank John Bouyer, Joe Beyer, and Pete Gauthier
for their generosity in showing me their KR projects and engines this
week while I've been visiting Portland, Oregon. I'm not a KR builder,
nor am I anticipating building one, but the ingenuity and work of the KR
crowd is always informative, enlightening, and friendly. I attended the
gathering at Chino several years ago, and it's always fun to meet and
hang out with members of the KR community.
Since the KR is a plans-built aircraft, there are many ingenious ways in
which builders have put them together and come up with individual
solutions to individual needs. I'm impressed every time that I look at a
different plane. KRs are definitely not cookie-cutter aircraft.
