Speaking of mystery airplanes, here is a photo of a highly modified KR
that was at the 1990 KR Gathering at Rough River, Kentucky, the first
Gathering I attended. I've only missed one since. It had a small
Lycombing and was modified to try for some distance records. I've never
seen or heard of it again. I've seen many KR's come and go in the last
29 years. Too bad.

Any ideas anyone? Also, there was a project in a hangar at the Perry,
Oklahoma Gathering, 1999 maybe, that I've never heard of again either.
I seem to recall it had several interesting mods.
