Hello Stef, As a long retired KR2er ,I recall my first flight. Engine cooling on the ground runs was fine-run for 1/2 hour-no probs. So I take it on first flight. - notice in the climb the temps start to rise. Level out at top of climb and temps return to normal. Decide to go to my home field which has a longer strip. Overhead ,I reduce speed-flaps down and join downwind . Temps start to rise again....Join base leg and the Revmaster quits. I have to dive to get over inconvenient trees. Flop her in and broke prop. To rectify cooling probs : 1. Change oil to recommended Revmaster grade. 2.Fit an adjustable cooling exhaust flap. 3 Enlarge inlets. Don't know which of these were relevant -but never had any more problems. But don't rely on ground run cooling figures! Good luck, Mac ex G-BVZJ
