Hi Donald,

If that was the case, there would be no Corvair, Rotax 912, Continental,
Lycoming, Subaru, Jabiru, VW Combi water cooled, Franklin, Mazda Rotary or
other than normal air cooled VW powered KR2s flying around. Many of these
proved to be quite successful. If it is okay to go heavier, then it should also
be okay to go lighter. The KR2 was designed to fly two up with 60hp up front
and the cg within certain limits. The gross weight was 1st set at 800lbs and
later updated to 900lbs. Many exceed that and they still fly safely. I am not
intending to exceed any of the design paramaters.

I am perfectly at peace with my choice of engine. Thank you so much for your
concern.

Kind regards,

Henni
South Africa
