Yes Wayne,

Off course. One has one of two options, or both:

1. Move the engine forward
2. Move the seats forward
3. Move both engine and seats forward.

Hi Wayne,

Engine with radiators, starter, muffler, in fact the complete installation
weighs 100lbs. The VW starts at 160lbs for a light weight 1600cc engine, no
electrics. That same VW produces only 45hp. I have 66hp at 100lbs.

The initial Pulsar series all flew and still flies two up with Rotax 582
engines. These cruise at 130mph. The KR2 is smaller with shorter wings, so I
expect same or better performance.

I have spent a lot of time at Stef' website. I am highly fascinated by light
engines in aircraft.

Kind regards,

Henni

Hi Henni,
How much does the Rotax 582 weigh? If it is lighter then a 2180 cc VW, then you
may have weight & balance issues.

You might want to check out the Stef den Boer website. Excellent write up on a
light weight engine installation.

Steph and his dad are building the KR-2S see
