How much does the Rotax 582 weigh? If it is lighter then a 2180 cc VW,
then you may have weight & balance issues.
You might want to check out the Stef den Boer website. Excellent write
up on a light weight engine installation.

Hi all,
Thank you for your replies. Opportunity is knocking at my door and I can
literally exchange my Rotax 582 for a recently overhauled and fully converted
EA81 with proper toothed belt reduction that flew in a gyrocopter before. Comes
with a Warp drive prop. Dyno tested to 100hp.
So, before I rush into anything, I want to know from those who've flown the KR2
behind a similar engine.
