The "nylon" line will work just fine. Might be called "nyloflo" or something similar.

If you have a tail dragger you won't be using much brake and can take the "nylon" down to the wheel. On a tri-gear I'd put a foot or so of aluminum at the wheel. You'll be using brakes for steering and could , it theory, generate enough heat to soften the hose. I once heard of a Longeze, or something similar, after extended ground runs, had the line pop off, caught fire, and destroyed the airplane.
