I knew I’d be poking at a hornets nest with the suggestion to expand away from
straight email - and even threw the Yahoo in there for grins.

I know its pretty uncool (only thing less cool is AOL and Trump?), but I
really don’t have any problem with Yahoo - or even AOL. (that was fun)

I’ve been part of the Osprey group on Yahoo for 17 years. It was a direct
porting of the Usegroups such as rec.aviation but added functionality for easy
photo and file sharing. Its had problems over the years including going down
a couple of times, been hacked and there have even been crass commercial posts
- but remember the flames when some schmuck tried to sell something (like their
plane) on the old usegroups?!

I’m delighted with the info I get from this list and KRnet - so I don’t want to
upset the cart.

Just seems that pictures, movies, and files are such a tremendous source of
information that limitation to text email is, well, limiting…

For example, the message below from yesterday.

I look forward to your thoughts - just let me get the 300bps phone modem hooked
up and its handset in its cradle.

Cheers!
Owen
