The reason I ask is thst I am looking at an old project that has the documents clearing it for cover and final and there were reserved letters. The thing is final was never done ( gentleman passed away) and the letters were assigned to a different airplane. I could bring the project to final inspection but I would have to get letters and make a data plate. I am just wondering about the process to do that. Bob, In Canada , you need to have the data plate installed permanently ( with the C of R letters on it) before your final inspection by MD-RA. The EAA data plate works great if you just trim off "Experimental" on the top line. Rivet it onto the fuselage side under the stab.
