Nails are not a good idea - they weaken the structure. And extra glass = extra weight....
'Just glue' holds alot more advanced aircraft together, and the KR is not exactly a new design - they have been flying for long enough that if there were structural issues we'd see them... So far, the main one was the original landing gear, and that has been 'corrected' by the newer Diehl designs...
