Mine is very effective, but I live in the South.  I checked it out at 8600
Ft. where it was about 40 OAT and I had to cut back of full heat.  I have
Jet Hot coated exhaust and I am sure it would be even more effective with
Stainless exhaust.  My KR has no insulation other than the side upholstery
and seats, which I guess provide a little.

I will be checking in much colder temps over the winter, so will post what I
find.
