Dave,

I think my Diehl wings with 10 gal aluminum tanks and no lights are around
67# each.  The tanks were about 22# each.  They could be built lighter by
using .035 aluminum instead of the .040 that I used.  With all the baffles,
I did not need to use the thicker material.  

How heavy is your plane.  Mine is a stock KR2 and with a Corvair engine is
750#.  I think that is about 300# over the design weight for the stock KR2.
But I ain't cryin, cause it flies great.  It isn't a sports car, but I think
it is more stable than was my much lighter first KR2.

Arg.... 72 and 70 for left and right wings with 15 gallon tanks and no
