If you widen the cockpit you are going to have to build your own canopy frame.
The bubble you just conform to fit and then start your frame construction.
Mark Langfords site goes into great detail about it. I built my forward deck
first that way you use it to set your bubble on. Then I built my turtle deck
and canopy frame at the same time. I then cut out the canopy frame about 2 or 3
inches behind the bubble and popped it out and did the rest of the finish work.
That is when it starts to look like an airplane.

Subject: KR> Widened cockpit vs. canopy

Hello. I'm getting close to buying some KR2S plans and have a question. If
the
ockpit width is changed, is a wider canopy also needed? If so, is it much more
xpensive or hard to find?
Smaller question. Does anyone have an estimate on how many KR2(S) airplanes
ave been completed?
Dave
