The FAA registry shows 873 KR2 and 63 KR2S models registered.  Don't know how
many where completed.  Thousands of plans sold for all KR models.  As far as
the canopy goes I am using a Zenith 601 canopy (
http://www.kr2seafury.com/10.html ).  My boat was widened 5" by the previous
builder.  If you doing the traditional turtle-deck I believe most folks are
using Dragonfly canopies.  All are available from Todds Canopys in FL and are
in the 4-500 dollar range.

Subject: KR> Widened cockpit vs. canopy

Hello.  I'm getting close to buying some KR2S plans and have a question.  If
the cockpit width is changed, is a wider canopy also needed? If so, is it much
more expensive or hard to find?

Smaller question.  Does anyone have an estimate on how many KR2(S) airplanes
have been completed?

Dave
