Certainly. Add enough oil and keep track of the amount until it checks with the dip stick to where it should be. Be careful to not overfill. When I first added my oil lines and remote filter, I filled the filter and the lines as well as I could, before running the engine. I then ran the engine enough to circulate the oil and checked it again.
