Do you need to increase the total amount of oil in a 2180 VW motor if you add a remote oil filter and if you also add a large cap remote oil cooler?
I believe my oil cap calls for 3.5 quarts. But I have added about 6 feet oil oil lines to add the remote oil cooler on my firewall plus a remote mounted oil cooler plus oil return line of 11 inches. It would make sense to me that I need to increase my oil volume to compensate .
