Yes Rich I had the same reaction when I got my plans and you have found the
best and the worst reason to build the KR.  Thus one reason this list exists.
Do not worry, there is plenty of knowledge here to fill in the gaps left by the
plans either in the archives or by posting you questions.  There are no dumb
questions because because we all realize that your life depends on your
success.  Also there will be a supplemental plans package that comes with the
originals to show the "S' version detail changes.

Have fun

Subject: KR> Old set of plans / manual disappointing...

Hello all,

I am considering the purchase of a set of plans for the KR-2S but before
committing, I wanted to get a look at a construction manual.  Recently I got a
crack at just that: a KR-1 manual and plan-set from Rand Robinson Engineering
which looked like they were from the early 70's seemed abysmally short on
details.  FYI, the plans number was KR-1 # 6215.  The vagueness of this
document set was a bit discouraging, leaving me with a definite sense of
disconnect between the pretty pictures I had before me and my vision of the
detailed drawings and written instruction I feel I will need to get through
this project.

Now that the material comes from NVAero and multiple decades have passed,
can I assume the level of detailed information and quality of the direction in
the manual has evolved (improved)?

Rich
