Herry I think you were very wise not to fly a plane built with Rhamin. It is a short-fibered hardwood totally unsuitable for this kind of structural use.
Peter Drake www.peterskr2s.co.uk I live in Indonesia, plenty of wood, found wood called RHAMIN (in Sumatera and Borneo), it has very nice strait grain. Treated properly (Kiln drying processed) and selected, got about 20% only from the total volume. Finished. But finally hesitation to fly came to my mind because of this un-proven material. As I was very eager to fly, then I was mad, closed my eyes, closed my ears, I bought/ imported Sitka Spruce and Aircraf grade plywood, all wood kit for KR-2 (from Aircraf Spruce compay). No .. no.. I don't suggest you anything, but please remember the post from Greg Martin bellow Herry Rudyanto PK - SKV -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter.
