Mark,You may not have ever noticed but I do not have any bracket. The inside
portion of my wheel pant was glassed in place wrapping the gear leg to form the
fairing in one piece. This is caulked to the gear leg and can be cut loose to
slide up if I need to. The wheel pant is cut out on the inside to be able to
lift over the tire and is held to the inside fairing by 6 machine screws with
nut plates. The out side face is held to the center of the axle with one 10-24x
3/4 which is tapped into a small turned piece of alum that is mounted to the
axle by 2 more 10-24 screws that spaces the mounting point away from the tire
about 1" so that the wheel pant centers up on the tire. I have had some
trouble with the one mounting hole getting larger, but not since my landings
have improved to 4.0 on the rictor scale.Joe Horton,Coopersburg, PA.
