That will serve you very well. One added measure is to keep the scarf slope visible to the side so that the side ply further adds to the strenght of the glue joint. You could put them all in the same bay without worry but more assurance would be gained by having the upper longeron scarfs at the firewall end because this will later be doubled up. In this case I would leave the scarf slope visible to the top. It will more readly conform to the curve. Good luck.
