Myself if its not a 4140 or 4340 chromoly crankshaft I won't use it because in the is not the time to find out your crankshaft is weak. These crankshaft are tryed and true they are light and very strong. a friend of mine has a type one in his soneri it is a 2332 with chey rods and he was very maticulis with it every part is balanced and blue printed and it is holding strong. anything I build over 1776 I go chromoly.

Even the Scat cranks have been known to break in Type 4 aircraft service. Last I heard they were very expensive, if even available at this point.
