I'm not sure what you mean by "3 airfoils". The Diehl and plans-built RAF48 will be the same airfoil, although the wingtip treatment can make a small difference. As for the AS404x series, it will be a real effiiciency and speed improvement over the other two. See http://www.krnet.org/as504x/ for details on that. The only disadvantage to that airfoil is that there are no "easy" pre-formed kits for that...you have to build the wings yourself, although as Steve Glover announced, NavAero isn't far from producing them...
