Hello again Dan: Thanks for time and interest. I am a bit concerned as to the spacer thickness that is strongly recommended by GP.
Mine is a 1835. As I posted in my last message, I found a total of .083 under mine (two spacers,.060 &.023), resulting in one of many oil leaks. I am thinking that too much compression could cause pre-ignition. It seems to me that if we have a pre-ignition problem we could back off on the timing a little to overcome it. Since I plan to utilize only av/gas I am leaning toward utilizing only the .060 spacer that I have under each cylinder. I am going to post this to the web for others to comment to and ask for solid info only please. Howard Goodwin Washington, N.C. N742HG/N21KW Just Passin Thru..
