Use any type of adhesive that is easy to work with. I would not recommend using any type of expanding adhesive foam type. I have used epoxy / micro, hot glue, 5 minute epoxy, and probably others as well. The foam to wood bond is not that critical. You just need to hold the foam in place while it is shaped and glassed. It is the glass / epoxy to wood bond that you want done properly. Just make sure to keep any type of adhesive used out of the "sanding plane" or it will make things more difficult. The type of adhesive you use will depend more on the total area to be glued than anything else. Slower drying for large areas, fast cure for small pieces. It would be nearly impossible to glue in a large wing plank, for example, with hot glue or 5 minute epoxy, but a small fillet block will work with either and be ready to sand in minutes. This is not rocket science and we are not gluing foam to the space shuttle tank. Just jump in and do it. If you mess it up, do it over. :-) Good luck................... Larry Flesner
