Why don't we make a list of places that qualify and take a vote at the gathering?

No, not at all. It's certainly a free country. I asked for volunteers a few weeks ago, and you were one of them, but after I made my comment about the event being held at a somewhat centralized location, several of the volunteers were sufficiently hacked off that they withdrew their invitations. You're certainly free to make any offer you'd like to make. The vote at the Gathering will be deciding factor, as always. It's up to the participants to decide where they want to hold the next one, and up to the pilots to decide if they want to fly there or not. If AJO or somewhere else in California is voted as the place for the next Gathering, then I'll do my best to fly there. Mark Jones also volunteered his place at KSTE, but I'm not convinced that one would win a vote by the majority either, although y'all are both welcome to prove me wrong on this. I'll try to be neutral, but that appearance is probably toast at this point. I thought I'd found the perfect offer, but like I said, it's not up to me. Please don't let me be the guy who started a perception of some kind of rift between the East and West coasts. I'm already stressed out enough. One thing's for sure, we can't expect Larry to do this forever...
