I wouldn't lose any sleep over those EGT temps. In fact, I'd pull the mixture knob a bit and quit burning so much fuel, personally! Now that may be irresponsible on my part (especially since you are still working through the problems), and it does matter how far downstream from the exhaust valves your EGT probes are, but on my engine, that'd be pretty cool EGTs. I don't ever "worry" about my EGTs, but if it were 1400F I might think about throttling back a tad, but that's pretty rare (the 1400F, not the throttling back!)...
