And so this little plane that started the whole composite movement is now
being given an infusion of new energy.  Congratulations Steve!  I'm sure
the availability of advanced components will breathe new life into this
history making design.  

I wonder how many outside the KR community know that Lance Neibauer
started Lancair with a KR?  He built one (now in Texas I believe) and
then took what he learned from the KR and enhanced it.  That was a direct
step easily understood, but the composite kit builders who followed,
including Rutan, all owe some of what they've done to Ken Rand's
ingenuity.
